Project Summary
These four 32-story multi-family buildings straddle Interstate 95/Route 1 and occupy the air-rights of the main vehicle approach to the George Washington Bridge. Situated on the high ground of upper Manhattan, the four high-rise structures are to New York City Metro area residents a familiar landmark. The project involved the multi-year, phased replacement of each building's original 1960's vintage single-glazed aluminum windows and terrace doors. As part of a weatherization program, over 1600 windows in each building (approximately 6500 in total) were replaced with Crystal Series 3000 dual-glazed insulated glass, side-load balance, double-hung aluminum windows. |
