Project Summary
Confucius plaza, being the tallest building in Chinatown, is also known as the “Icon” for Chinese-Americans in New York City. The tower complex forms a large arc facing south-east, with the 44-story eastern portion of the entity -- on the Manhattan Bridge side -- towering over the lower, 19-story mass facing the Bowery and Chatham Square. In 2005, the multi-use complex replaced all its original aluminum windows in 762 apartment units with Crystal’s Series 6000 Heavy-Commercial-Rated aluminum windows. The extra-thick profile and low-E coated insulated glass will provide decades of comfort to over 2000 tenants.
