Project Summary
"In 2007, we want residents to be able to live in a home that will be standard in 2037," said Mike Roberts, chairman of the Roberts Cos. The school was purchased by the Roberts Brothers from the St. Louis Public Schools for use as 55 loft apartments and 26 new houses on the vacant parcel. The Robertses hired Paric Corp. of O'Fallon, Mo., as contractors for the project. Once completed, it will feature two-story, single-family environmentally friendly houses. To match the historic pattern of the main building’s original wood windows, Crystal has modified its Series 5500 HC-Rated windows with custom panning profiles to match existing brick mold, custom munting base around the perimeter of glass on both sashes for historical replication of a wood putty line, even sash lites to replicate wood windows. The windows also feature AAMA 2603-compliant PPG powder coating finish for long lasting beauty and durability.
