Crystal Windows Grows Sales Despite Recession
- Manufacturer Reports Fiscal Year Revenue Increase -
FLUSHING, NY, May 29, 2009 - Crystal Window & Door
Systems, the award-winning national manufacturer, reported that despite
the dismal economic climate, the company achieved an increase in sales
for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2009. Crystal's annual revenues
from aluminum and vinyl windows and doors and high-end fenestration
systems for the period May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009, while not
the double digit growth rates seen in most years, increased a very
respectable 3% over the previous year. Annual sales are approaching
$60 million for the American manufacturer and have increased in 18
of the company's 19 years of existence, making it a dramatic rising
star success story in the fenestration industry.
That we were able to succeed in such a bleak economy,
with the construction and remodeling industries severely depressed
and at a time when other window manufacturers are shutting down plants
or going out of business, is truly remarkable,¡± stated Steve Chen,
Executive Vice President. I think we have weathered the worst of the
recessionary storm, and with our new energy efficient products and
our new strategies in place we are positioned for greater growth in
the coming year.
Significant sales increases from the company's national
sales teams in New England, the Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West, along with
solid performance by the New York metro area delivered the results.
"A lot of good honest hard work by all our sales and customer
service representatives made this success possible." said Harold
Kaye, Senior Vice President for Business Development. "Our vertically
integrated manufacturing, our new product offerings and our enhanced
dealer/distributor programs and marketing materials have definitely
contributed, but when all is said and done, it"s the customer
insight and the dedication and determination of our sales teams that
made the year a resounding success."
The fiscal year sales growth report is just the latest
in a recent string of recognitions of Crystal's success. In February
the company was listed for the eleventh year in a row in Window &
Door Magazine's annual listing of top North American industry manufacturers.
More recently the company was ranked 18th (and third largest employer)
in Crain's New York Business' annual list of 25 Largest Minority-Owned
Companies in the New York Metro Area.
